A note from our pastors

We are living in interesting times, but the great news is that God is not surprised or sidetracked by anything that is going on.  The Great Commission has not changed.  Many times in history there has been war, calamity, and chaos but the Kingdom has not changed!  Hebrews 12:28 NLT "Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping Him with holy fear and awe."

Let us not be shaken by all that is going on but instead be activated to be the Church in our community.  What is God saying to me today?  What are the things that we can do to help those around us?  What is a scripture that gives us hope that we can share?  Who can I encourage today?

I want to encourage everyone in three areas:

  • Spiritually - take time daily to pray and be in God's Word; worship and sing songs to the Lord; encourage one another with scriptures, songs, hymns and spiritual songs (Ephesians 5:19).
  • Emotionally - take time to process your emotions, give them to God in prayer and share them with someone who will help your process, pray with you, and encourage you.  Build community - be support to others and receive support from others.
  • Physically - get plenty of sleep; eat healthy (foods that give you energy); exercise - go for walks in your neighborhood, take a bike ride, dance to some worship music, find a good workout video online.  This is good for you physically, mentally and emotionally.

Finally, do not fear!  God has got this!  Our hope and trust is in Him!  I pray you are well and God gives you many opportunities to show and share His love to those around you during these trying times!

We are moving the service to an online format.

As you may know, the Governor has placed the state under an order:  Stay Home, Stay Safe.  In order to comply with this and do our part to slow the spread of COVID - 19, our services will be streaming online.

We hope that you can connect with us live online:

We will be live-streaming on Facebook   https://www.facebook.com/yourlifecenter/?ref=bookmarks

We will also be posting the video on our website after the service - you can find it by clicking the link here: /discover

Pastor Jonathan is also posting short messages of encouragement, on Facebook, on an almost daily basis.

#Weloveourcommunity

We are connecting with Love Inc, Lewis County Gospel Mission, Hub City Mission, Gather, Lewis County Neighbors, and more as we hear about the needs of those around us.  We are working to assist those in need and serve our community.  The Church is rising in this season and revival will happen as we love and serve people around us!  If you need assistance in helping those around you, please let us know and we will work to help and/or connect people to resources they need.

Here are some links to how you can help:

Now is the time to worship

During this unique season it is easy to feel discouraged or even panicked.  But God is in control!!  We can worship him and raise Hisname on high, over this whole situation!  Pastor Amanda has put together a spotify playlist and we want you to use it as a tool to help you stay encouraged and help build your faith that God has a plan and will work this all for good!

Staying Healthy

  • Please be diligent about hand washing.  Wet your hands with clean, running water, apply soap.  Lather hands by rubbing them together with the soap, don't forget the backs of your hands, between fingers and under fingernails.  Scrub for at least 20 seconds.
  • Cover coughs and sneezing with your inner arm, not hands.
  • Please use hand sanitizer when you are unable to wash your hands.
  • Take care of yourself.  Get lots of rest.  Stay calm.  All this helps keeps our immune system strong.

At this point, any gatherings over 10 people have been moved to an online format.  If your connect group is smaller than 10 people, your leader will contact you and let you know how to stay connected.  The leadership team will continue to monitor the situation and make changes as necessary.
